Random & Not-So-Random Facts
I married my high school sweetheart (Derrick) at the ripe age of 20. He played in the NFL. I was a stay at home mom. His career was only slightly less demanding than mine. We now have four kids who run my life.
I love the idea of getting all fancy, going out to some swanky bar, and having a great time with my friends. But I also love the idea of staying home, not wearing pants, and talking to my internet friends. Guess which one I do more of? Hint- I once* went a month without washing my hair and my wardrobe has approximately 20 pairs of leggings.
My phone autocorrects rose to Rosé.
When decided to try writing a book, I said I would never write a sports romance because there was nothing glamorous about it. Never say never, people.
There’s a 99.9% chance every book I write will have mentions of The Real Housewives, sparkle, booze, and a main character who is a bit of a hot mess—write what you know and all that jazz.
My kids are unimpressed with everything I do. This is best demonstrated here:
Even though I talk to my kids all day long, I’m convinced I only say the same ten phrases. The main ones being “put on your shoes” and “why is everyone yelling?”
There’s not much that I love more than a girl group. When I was a kid, I memorized every single TLC song and made my mom buy me the silk pajamas. Now I’m obsessed with Little Mix.
